What is a career assessment test?
A career assessment test is a structured questionnaire that measures your interests, aptitude, personality and work style, then links the results to suitable streams, courses or careers. It is a starting point for a decision, not a final verdict — its value comes from interpreting the results with a qualified counsellor and checking them against real career information.
What is the best career assessment test?
There is no single best test for everyone. A good one is scientifically validated, measures more than one dimension — interests, aptitude and personality — suits your stage (school, college or working life), and comes with interpretation by a qualified counsellor rather than just an automated report. Free online quizzes can be a light starting point, but they are rarely decision-grade.
How much does a career test cost?
It ranges from free online quizzes to paid professional assessments. Paid assessments usually include a detailed report and, often, a counselling session to interpret it. At GCL, assessments start at ₹2,000 and most include a free 30-minute counselling call; students under 18 take them with a parent or guardian involved.
