This Privacy Policy explains how Global Career Labs (“GCL”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and safeguards your information when you use globalcareerlabs.com (the “Site”). We are committed to handling personal data responsibly and in line with India’s applicable data-protection law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Information we collect

• Information you give us. When you submit the enquiry / “Connect with us” form, we collect your name, email, mobile number (with country code), your current stage (“I am…”), what you’re looking for, and the details of your enquiry. If you take the free aptitude test, we collect the details you enter for your report and your responses to the assessment.
• Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we collect standard usage data — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring links — through analytics cookies (see “Cookies & analytics”).

We do not collect payment-card or financial information on the Site, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data beyond what you choose to share with us.

2. How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiries and connect you with a relevant career counsellor.
• To generate your personalised aptitude report.
• To operate, maintain and improve the Site and its content.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used so we can make it more useful.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Cookies & analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage in aggregate. This sets cookies that help us measure traffic and improve the Site. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the Site.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these limited ways:

• Service providers who help us run the Site (for example, our hosting and analytics providers), under appropriate safeguards.
• Counsellors within or partnered with GCL, only to respond to and follow up on your enquiry.
• Legal requirements where disclosure is required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

5. Data retention

We keep enquiry and assessment information only for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your request, and to meet legal or record-keeping requirements, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent for future processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at care@globalcareerlabs.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard the data we hold.

8. Children

Much of our audience is students. Where a user is a minor, we expect a parent or guardian to provide and consent to any personal details shared with us.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
