What we do
We start where it matters — with expert-built assessments that map your innate strengths and interests. From there, a GCL counsellor helps you turn that insight into a clear path: the right stream, course, college or career move. And we look forward, not just at today’s jobs — our Futuristic Careers guidance covers 21 future-defining domains, from AI and green energy to space, biotech and beyond.
Why “career-first”
Most platforms start with a catalogue of courses and colleges. We start with you — your aptitude and ambition — and work outward to the courses, colleges and careers that genuinely fit. Honest, data-driven, and free to begin.
Who we’re for
School students choosing a stream, graduates picking a specialisation, young and mid-career professionals navigating a switch, women returning to work, and parents guiding their children — there’s a path for every stage, and a counsellor who has walked it.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What does Global Career Labs do?
Global Career Labs is a career-first guidance platform. We begin with expert-built assessments that map your innate strengths and interests, then a qualified GCL counsellor helps you turn that insight into a clear plan — the right stream, course, college or career move.
Who is GCL for?
School students choosing a stream, graduates picking a specialisation, early and mid-career professionals navigating a switch, women returning to work, and parents guiding their children — there is a path for every stage, and a counsellor who has walked it.
What makes GCL “career-first”?
Most platforms start with a catalogue of courses and colleges. We start with you — your aptitude and ambition — and work outward to the courses, colleges and careers that genuinely fit. It is honest, data-driven, and free to begin.
How many people has GCL guided?
GCL has guided 125,000+ students and professionals across 140+ cities, supported by a network of 3,200+ career counsellors.
Is it free to start?
Yes. Talking to a GCL Career Advisor costs nothing — on WhatsApp or a call-back. If you want deeper guidance, expert-built assessments and 1:1 counselling programs are available, starting at ₹2,000.
How is the guidance delivered?
Every assessment is reviewed by a qualified counsellor, and 1:1 sessions are delivered by a senior career counsellor — available virtually over Google Meet or Zoom.
What is the role of a career counsellor?
A career counsellor helps you understand your strengths, interests and values — often using validated assessments — explores the options that fit, and helps you make and plan a decision about your stream, course, job or next move. A good counsellor gives objective, evidence-based guidance and supports you through the change, not just a one-time answer.
What is the difference between counselling and coaching?
Career counselling helps you work out what direction suits you and why — it explores your strengths, interests and options, often with assessments. Career coaching usually starts once you know your goal and focuses on how to reach it: skills, job search, interviews and performance. Many people need counselling first and coaching later.
What are the essential elements of career counselling?
Good career counselling usually includes self-assessment (your interests, aptitude, personality and values), accurate information about careers and the job market, a structured decision-making process, a practical action plan and follow-up support. Leaving any of these out tends to produce either generic advice or a plan that never gets acted on.
